It’s Time For #RebrandBoston: Getting Boston Small Businesses Online

There are 28 million small businesses that drive the American economy. 46% of these businesses operate without a website.

In a little over a week, Rebrand Cities and Foley Hoag LLP will bring their partnership to center stage with #RebrandBoston. The event, formulated as a boot camp style event, will give local Boston small businesses the opportunity to participate in branding exercises and to connect with developers of their new WordPress site.

These businesses will be able to learn from a variety of creative coaches and leaders in areas such as business, copywriting, graphic design and domain selection through a series of engaging talks, interactive sessions and practical training all tailored to the small businesses’ needs and goals. The main goal? To get these 25+ small businesses online within a day.

Rebrand Cities is also excited to introduce speakers C.C. Chapman, an author and Visiting Instructor of Business & Management at Wheaton College. Chapman, alongside Chief Consumer Connections Officer for Doner Advertising Marcus Collins, will speak on the modern-day realities of being a successful small business owner, both professionally and mentally speaking.

“As a starting entrepreneur, you have to be ready to do the hard work. Too often the magazine articles and television hits focus on the big success and rarely talk about how much work it takes. Being an entrepreneur means a life of anxiety and uncomfortable decisions, so you got to be ready for it,” Chapman said.

#RebrandBoston will mark Chapman’s first event with Rebrand Cities. Within Rebrand Boston’s tight-packed schedule for participants that includes a professional headshot session and social media branding, Chapman is slated to speak on his start, setbacks, and successes as an entrepreneur.

“I love that an initiative like this is going on to help small businesses get their online start. The fact that WordPress is involved and I’ve been using their software for years is a definite plus,” he said. “This event is going to help every business owner that attends and I hope the learnings I share add to their success.”

The beginning cost is $299 per business with additional upgrades available. The event will take place Friday, July 27th from 9 AM – 3 PM. Space is limited. With only 25 spaces available, you can sign up for the event or request more information here.
