Challenge Rules

The Rebrand Cities 60 Day Website Challenge (the “Challenge”) is sponsored, endorsed, and administered by Rebrand Cities LLC (the “Sponsor”). The Challenge is governed by these official rules (these “Official Rules”). By participating in the Challenge, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and understands that the results of the Challenge, as determined by the Sponsor and its agents, are final. The Challenge is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and is void where prohibited by law.

By entering or participating in the Challenge, you agree to these Official Rules. Developers also agree to the terms and conditions found at the Terms & Conditions for Developers tab on the Sponsor’s website. Business owners also agree to the terms and conditions found at the Terms & Conditions for Business Owners tab on the Sponsor’s website. Please read these carefully.

ELIGIBILITY

The Challenge is open to United States residents eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry with Internet access and a valid email account prior to the beginning of the Challenge Period. The Sponsor may verify the eligibility of each entrant.

CHALLENGE PERIOD

The Challenge begins on October 8, 2018, noon EST and ends at December 7, 2018, noon EST (“Challenge Period”). All entries (submissions) must be received by the time stated during that Challenge Period. The Sponsor reserves the right to extend or shorten the Challenge at its sole discretion.

HOW TO ENTER

You can enter the Challenge through the Sponsor’s website. You can find the application on the Get Involved tab on the Sponsor’s website. Entrants must fill out all required fields on the entry form to participate in the Challenge. After submitting the required information on the entry form, the entrant will receive one (1) entry into the drawing. Developers may apply up to four (4) times to win. Business owners may only enter one (1) time.

REQUIREMENTS

Business owners must submit a $300 U.S. dollars entrance fee in exchange for a website for their business built by a developer on the WordPress.com platform and one year of hosting.

The Challenge is free for developers to enter and have a chance to win a $10,000 U.S. dollars grand prize. Developers are only required to spend four (4) to six (6) hours in development of the websites included in the Challenge.

WINNER SELECTION

All eligible entries received during the Challenge Period will be gathered into a database at the end of the Challenge Period.
The winners will be announced on or about December 21, 2018, on or about noon EST. Announcement and instructions for the prize will be sent to the email address supplied on the potential prize winner’s entry form. Each entrant is responsible for monitoring his or her email account (or phone, if they have chosen phone as their preferred contact method) for prize notification and receipt, or other communications related to the Challenge. If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by the administrator (or the Sponsor) within fifteen (15) days, using the contact information provided at the time of entry, or if the prize is returned as undeliverable, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the prize. Upon the request of the Sponsor, the potential winner may be required to return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release and Prize Acceptance Form, and IRS W-9 form. If a potential winner fails to comply with these Official Rules, that potential winner will be disqualified. Prizes may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible entries are received.

PRIZES

The grand prize for the winning developer is $10,000 U.S. dollars. All business owners will get to keep the website built by the developer on the WordPress.com platform and get one year of hosting.

Terms and conditions may apply. Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt, and use of all or any portion of the awarded prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize winner.

ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE IS SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.
ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS

The prize is non-transferable. No substitution of prizes is permitted. The Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate, and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Challenge, including errors in any printing or posting or these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of the Challenge is unlawful and subject to possible legal action by the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend, or amend the Challenge, without notice and for any reason, including if the Sponsor determines that the Challenge cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering, or unauthorized intervention, technical failure, or other cause beyond the Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper participation in the Challenge. In the event any tampering or unauthorized intervention may have occurred, the Sponsor reserves the right to void suspect entries. The Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate, and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives, and any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure, or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment, or software, the inability to access any website or online service, or any other error, human or otherwise.

INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

BY ENTERING THE CHALLENGE, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE, AND HOLD HARMLESS THE SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE, AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES, THE WORDPRESS.COM PLATFORM ADMINISTRATOR, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE CHALLENGE AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE, OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. THE SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE, AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS, OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE OR RESULTING WEBSITE. THE SPONSOR AND ITS PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE CHALLENGE.

PUBLICITY

By participating in the Challenge, each entrant grants the Sponsor permission to use his or her name, image, likeness, comments, website, and any other information supplied for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.

CHALLENGE SPONSOR

The Challenge is sponsored by Rebrand Cities LLC, whose registered office is at 33717 Woodward Avenue, #202, Birmingham, Michigan 48009.
